Ups and Downs

Porter McClain is resting and doing well. He is breathing on his own and the ventilator is just there incase he struggles again, which we are positive as time continues he will continue to need it less and come off!

Over the next few days there will be many ups and downs, which are to be expected, and I think it would just be too much, to try and update you on everything, so I am going to be waiting until we know better where things stand.

Thank you all for your love, prayers, and encouragement. Encouragement is a HUGE thing for us and we are hopeful and positive that Porter Mac will be making a strong comeback soon.

  1. I felt the same way when I read that! I have already claimed this God-given victory for the precious child! No negativity allowed here...that is simply the cowardly work of Satan! I believe in the ONLY living God and he is capable of ALL THINGS!!! This baby will be running around terrorizing his cousins this time next year and in a few years he will be playing baseball and football!!! God is good.....ALL THE TIME!

  2. Porter McClain is a beautiful boy and just as strong as his name! He is a little fighter and has so many prayers going up for him that he can't help but overcome this. Jennifer really touched my life these last three months while working together. Each of your are in my thoughts and prayers constantly.

  3. I agree with Dede. Where God is at work, Satan is always going to try to mess something up. One of my friends posted this on my page for us to remember.

Remember! God completes the good work HE has done in us and HE will be faithful to do it in Porter. Press On, little guy! (And Mommy and Daddy too)

  4. Amen!! FAITH..described as SURE and CERTAIN! Hebrews 11:1 says "Faith is being SURE of what we hope for and CERTAIN of what we do not see." My God is an AWESOME God and Porter McClain is safely in His arms. We can not see Porter's future but by FAITH we can be certain that he is going to be just fine! Hang in there Thomas and Jennifer..JOY comes in the morning! Love to you all..Lisa Temples

  8. I am praying for baby Porter! My son had a similar start in life and was on the cooling blanket for 3 days. He is an absolute miracle and so is Porter. If I can be of any help or support please let me know. In those first few weeks I desperately wanted to talk to someone who had been where I was but couldn't find anyone. My husband and I are here. loriosutton@yahoo.com or 678 982 4522
